Page 91: The sentence on the bottom of the page has a typo, you will be cutting strips about 21" long (not 2-1/2" long).

The dimensions for the Crib size version, listed on the back of the pattern along with the backing yardage for Crib size is wrong. The correct dimension is 42-1/2" x 51" and you will need 2-1/8 yards for backing.

Strip Ribbons: page 4 and 5
Sashing fabric should be subcut into the following:

  • 1-1/2” wide strips
  • Subcut into 1-1/2” x 13-1/2” rectangles
  • Subcut into 1-1/2” x 7-1/2” rectangles
  • Subcut into 1-1/2” x 6-1/2” rectangles

In step 9, those same rectangles should be referred to as the 1-1/2” x 7-1/2” sashing rectangles and NOT 2-1/2” x 7-1/2”.

    GE-140 STRIP TWIST

In a few places in the pattern, the largest size of the quilt is referred to as a Full size, but it should always be Twin size.  The pattern has 3 sizes, crib, lap and TWIN.

    GE-504 FAST & FURIOUS HOLIDAY

Trick or Treat Wall Hanging: page 11.

In step 4 the first sentence is missing in the instructions. It should say: "Place the folded 3" fabric A squares on all four corners of the unit from step 3 and pin down."

In the second printing of the book, this mistake has been corrected.

    Spruce Lane Runner: page 22.

In step 5, it refers to the step 5 units but it should be step 4 units.

Note: If you are having trouble with the center units fitting in this pattern, read the following:

The actual measurements for the cutting should have been 6-5/16 for the center square and 4-7/8 for the triangles. Since I don't want to use "sixteenths" in my cutting instructions, I went up to the next size which is a 6-1/2". With that size of a square, the triangles needed to be a little larger too. It's usually better to have things bigger rather than smaller. Most of the testers came back with this working out fine because when you sew through the backing and batting, your seam allowances get a little bigger. There were 2 testers that came back with this being too large for the other pieces so they had to go down to a 6-1/4" square and 4-7/8" triangles and then things worked out. If your unit is more than a 1/4" larger than the trunk units, I recommend making the adjustments.
