Frida is a brand new pattern designed by Gudrun Erla for 2026! Frida is made with 10" squares and comes together very easily with the Stripology rulers. Great for confident beginners as well as seasoned quilters. 6 different size options: crib, lap, twin, full, queen, & king.

First time I attended any of Gudrun's events and it was great! The pattern looked harder than it actually was, thanks to the very clear instructions and wonderful videos! I bought the Stripology XL ruler after watching her cutting video and I'm never going back to a regular ruler. I liked this. It shows an out of the box way of looking at how to cut/sew a pattern with the diaginal piecing.

I liked the way the blocks and accents came together. If and when I sew this pattern again, I will pick a different accent color. The video class was very helpful. As always!
I participated as part of a quilt shop. It was a lot of fun -we enjoyed the music and worked to piece the blocks together. It was so much fun and I was tired by the end of the days.

This is such a fun pattern! I started my Stripology journey in November 2025. So, three quilts made, two placemats & three table runners done! Frida is a great challenge and very easy to use. Clear GE instructions make for less mistakes cutting. I’m loving this quilt!🙃
I loved the look of the pattern, and was excited to join in. I used the Stripology XL ruler to cut the pieces. More than once, I made inaccurate cuts. Confused and not happy, I continued on, and managed to make 4 smaller squares (7-1/2” instead of 8”). Yes, using the Squared ruler would have been better if I’d had one. I did not find the alternate XL cutting instructions to work for me.
It was a very enjoyable day sewing with you. The pattern is easy to follow however the photo with pressing directions was very small and did not include pressing for block 2. Otherwise I've no complaints and hope to do your next sew along.
I haven't been able to make the quilt yet, but have watched all of the videos and can't wait to make it.
